How Much Canned Food to Feed a Dog? – Dogster

    [ad_1]

Dr. Jamie Whittenburg, veterinarian director at SeniorTailWaggers.com and Kingsgate Animal Hospital, says how much canned food to feed a dog per day is based on kilocalories (kcals), the scientific term for a measurement of food. This is how pet food calories are measured. Each can of food, or bag of kibble, will have a recommended daily feeding guide.

If you have never fed canned food to your dog, you may wonder whether the same calorie counting guidelines apply to wet food versus dry food. While breed, age, health, activity level, pregnancy and nursing affect the amount of food your dog should be getting, there are some general guidelines you can follow when it comes to feeding canned food, starting with reading the back of the can of food for the company’s recommendations, just as you would for kibble.

How to calculate how much canned food to feed a dog

If you’re concerned about your dog’s weight or other activity levels, the Basic Calorie Calculator from the Ohio State University, gives you a more in-depth look into how much food your dog should have daily.

The chart calculates your dog’s resting energy requirements, multiplied by factors, such as life stage and current weight, to determine the appropriate amount of calories a dog needs per day.

For example, a Jack Russell Terrier and a Miniature Poodle are both about the same size, but their activities levels vary, which puts them in different categories for energy exertion and calorie intake.

Is there a standard amount of canned food to feed a dog?

No, the number of calories each dog needs is different. Dr. Whittenburg notes that though the calorie calculator is the most accurate method of determining your dog’s daily food intake, it will not be perfect for every dog, similar to the general feeding guidelines on the can, and modifications may need to be made. Because of this, he recommends asking your veterinarian for help. Come prepared with the number of kcal per cup for your dog’s food so your vet can do the math.

How does mixing canned and dry dog foods affect calorie count?

It doesn’t matter if you are mixing canned, dry, pouched or even homemade food, explains Dr. Whittenburg. All that matters is the total number of kcal per day. When you mix foods, add the two kcal amounts together to make sure you aren’t going over your dog’s allotted amount.

As a final note: Treats fed between meals count towards your dog’s daily kcal. To keep your dog at a healthy weight, factor in those treats when deciding how much canned food to feed your dog each day.

  • Today’s Best High-Interest CDs and Best Savings Accounts: April 20, 2023

Today’s Best High-Interest CDs and Best Savings Accounts: April 20, 2023

    [ad_1]

Our experts answer readers’ banking questions and write unbiased product reviews (here’s how we assess banking products). In some cases, we receive a commission from our partners; however, our opinions are our own. Terms apply to offers listed on this page.

The average savings account offers 0.39% Annual Percentage Yield (APY), according to the FDIC. However, several banks and credit unions pay much more than the average right now.

    Popular savings account options

Perhaps, you’ll see the highest rates at banks with unfamiliar names. If you’re searching for a bank with a national presence or you’re cautious about banks since Silicon Valley Bank failed, remember that up to $250,000 per depositor is safe in a federally insured bank even if it is shut down. Popular savings options from national brands can offer good rates, too. Here are some that offer competitive rates:

    Best savings rates today

These accounts currently have the highest rates right now:

    Best CD rates today

    Best checking account rates today

Best money market account rates today

Today, the best financial institution for earning a competitive interest rate on an online high-yield savings account is UFB Direct, which pays 4.81% APY on UFB Premier Savings.

National brick-and-mortar banks typically pay lower interest rates on traditional savings accounts. For example, Bank of America pays 0.01% to 0.04% APY on the Bank of America Advantage Savings Account. If you’d like to earn a more competitive interest rate at a national brick-and-mortar bank, you’ll probably have to consider a premium savings account or money market account.

We’ve been checking over two dozen financial institutions to keep up with their new rate offerings. Our best savings accounts and best high-yield savings accounts guides can also be great starting points in your research — but if you prioritize finding the highest rates above all else, this list is for you.

Below, you’ll find some of the best high-interest savings accounts, CDs, high-yield checking accounts, and money market accounts available. All of these bank accounts have FDIC insurance, and the credit unions are NCUA-insured.

Keep in mind that UFB Direct only offers a high-yield savings account and a money market account. If you would also like to open a checking account or CD with the same institution, another bank may be a better fit.

How to balance a high APY vs. brand in an uncertain banking environment

Silicon Valley Bank was one of the largest banks in the US, and it was shut down in March. Earning a high APY on a savings account or CD seems great, but how important is a high rate when your bank could fail?

If a bank is insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), up to $250,000 is safe per depositor in a savings, checking, CD, and money market account. This means that if you have a joint account, $500,000 is safe. The same is true for credit unions, which are insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). If your bank failed, your money with either move into another insured institution, or you would receive a check for the money that was in your accounts.

The national brands on our list, such as Capital One and Discover, are FDIC-insured. The smaller brands, like CFG and Crescent Bank, are also insured. Federal insurance matters more than the actual bank brand.

  • How to Train the Catahoula Leopard Dog – Dogster

How to Train the Catahoula Leopard Dog – Dogster

    [ad_1]

The Catahoula Leopard Dog is a strong working dog breed who needs extensive training and regular exercise to thrive. Early socialization and ongoing training beyond puppyhood are extremely important for this high energy dog, who was bred for strength and endurance.

Here are the most important steps to take when training your Catahoula:

    1. Give them the right job

Catahoula Leopard Dogs were bred to work. These dogs thrive when given an opportunity to train and learn new skills. Catahoulas like to be kept busy, and if your lifestyle doesn’t support opportunities for your dog to do the natural work Catahoulas do — hunting, working livestock and guarding property — get your dog involved with hunting trials, tracking training and trails, scent work training, and dog agility and obedience. If Catahoulas don’t have a job to do, they are likely to become destructive, or exhibit other negative behaviors such as excessive barking from boredom.

    1. Start socialization training early

Socialization needs to start at puppyhood. This is a very important developmental time in a puppy’s life from about 5 to 16 weeks old, where they experience new things about the world. Both positive and negative experiences that puppies have during this time can influence their temperament and behavior for the rest of their lives. The Catahoula Leopard Dog is a natural watchdog and can have a predisposition to being wary and distrustful of strangers. Socialization helps manage these behaviors.

Give your Catahoula puppy positive experiences with diverse groups of people and other dogs and animals. Catahoulas have a strong prey drive, so even with good early socialization and training they may not be safe around small animals, such as cats. Catahoula Leopard Dogs are a territorial breed and are very protective of their families. Even with early socialization, they are likely to remain wary of strangers and aren’t always social with other dogs.

    1. Be consistent with positive reinforcement training

Just because these dogs have a strong work drive doesn’t mean they should be treated with a heavy hand or harsh training approach. All dog breeds benefit from training that utilizes consistent positive reinforcement training approaches, which utilizes treats, toys and play to encourage and reward good behaviors. Behavior that has been rewarded is more likely to be repeated. Catahoulas are deeply bonded to their families and consistency in training and expectations helps these dogs succeed.

    1. Work with a professional dog trainer

Don’t skip puppy class! Basic obedience classes can help you and your dog to develop a shared training language, help your puppy to work around distractions and get training off on the right paw. Similarly, if you already have a Catahoula Leopard Dog and are struggling with training, it’s never too late to get support from a dog trainer who utilizes positive reinforcement training approaches. An experienced trainer will help you to better understand and work through issues you’re having with your dog.

How big are Catahoula Leopard Dogs?

They are strong medium to medium-large dogs, weighing in from 50 to 95 pounds, with males being larger. According to the National Association of Louisiana Catahoulas, males measure from 22 to 26 inches in height and females from 20 to 24 inches.

What is a Catahoula Leopard Dog? Here are 5 fun facts:

    • Catahoulas were first bred in Louisiana to be all-around working dogs
    • They became the official state dog of Louisiana in 1979
    • Catahoulas are powerful dogs, bred for strength and endurance.
    • They were originally used for guarding property and homes, working with livestock and hunting and treeing.
    • Catahoulas are high-energy dogs and will generally not be happy living in an apartment. They don’t do well left home alone all day.

Six interior designers style rooms at L’Appartamento in Milan

    [ad_1]

Six interior design studios, including Kingston Lafferty Design and T.ZED Architects, have overhauled a room at the 1930s L’Appartamento for commerce platform Artemest at Milan design week.

The designers each used furniture, lighting and art from the brands, designers and artists represented on the Artemest platform to showcase their own style in a room at the apartment in Milan’s 5Vie district for the L’Appartamento exhibition.

“We wanted to bring this stunning apartment back to life and show how different interior design studios, each with its own style and design approach, can work with Artemest to create inspiring and surprising interiors that celebrate authentic Italian beauty,” said Artemest founder Ippolita Rostagno.

Entryway at Artemest’s L'Appartamento in Milan by Dubai-based studio T.ZED Architects
T.ZED Architects designed the entrance space at Artemest’s L’Appartamento

In the entryway, Dubai-based studio T.ZED Architects aimed “to set the tone for what is yet to come” by preserving the character of the room and adding selected pieces.

The studio choose a mix of furniture in off-white, cream and brown, including copper and leather finishes that plays off the green tones of the richly patterned, period wallpaper.

Mirrors – including a Sybilla mirror with console by Ettore Sottsass for Glas Italia, and an Itaca floor mirror by Atlasproject – were placed to illuminate and enlarge the space, while amplifying the period details.

In the adjoining room, Dublin-based studio Kingston Lafferty Design aimed to “challenge visitors’ sense of what a living room should be” by placing a sculptural monolithic block seems to glow with a soft golden sheen in the centre of the space.

The block splits the room into two distinct spaces and contains a mirrored space described by the studio as “a gallery of lights”.

    Golden block in living room
The golden block divides the space into two

On one side of the block is an informal living room that evokes a sense of playfulness through the use of oversized furniture in bright colours, including the Osaka Blue Sofa by Pierre Paulin for La Cividina.

The other side has a rich palette of jewel-tones to creates a more decadent atmosphere.

    Terrace at Milanese villa
Moniomi aimed to create a room on the terrace

Leading from the living room a large terrace was reworked by Miami-based studio Moniomi, which aimed to create an outside room that felt like an interior space.

The studio used a combination of large-scale upholstered pieces, gridline patterns and graphic blacks and whites, softened by lush greens to reference the outdoor location.

The design language here features saturated colours and layered patterns – including the Nuovola 01 dining table by Mario Cucinella for Officine Tamborrino, which represent the studio’s Hispanic roots.

Nina Magon designed the apartment’s dining space

Another US-based designer, Nina Magon, created the L’Appartamento dining room, playing with monochromatic hues to enhance the authenticity of the original finishes here.

Sculptural furniture, such as the Trompe-l’oeil Trois dining table by DelMondo Studio, topped with a cluster of Flow[t] pendant lamps by Nao Tamura for WonderGlass was added to the space.

The bedroom was designed by Styled Habitat

In the bedroom, Dubai-based studio, Styled Habitat, delved into the history of the 1930s to translate the romance of that era into the modern day and evoke a sense of timeless glamour.

To capture the experimental and avant-garde trends of European modernism, Styled Habitat juxtaposed new and old, with a Czech Chair by Hermann Czech for Gebrüder Thonet Vienna, alongside pieces like the Calle Pinzi Murano Glass Chandelier by Luci Italia.

Finally, for L’Appartamento’s hallway and the studio, Paris-based interior designer Anne-Sophie Pailleret was informed by her first reaction to seeing the apartment.

The long, narrow hall, has been covered with the textural Tra 1100 Wallpaper hand-crafted by La Scala Milano Wallcovering, contrasting with geometric Alfabeto Tiles by Margherita Rui for Ninefifty, on the floor.

The walls are further decorated with Ninfea wall lamps by Giovanni Botticelli in collaboration with Paola Paronetto, functioning as a gallery-style grouping of lights.

For the studio room, Pailleret created a mix of warm colours and graphic patterns, with comfortable and curvaceous furniture.

L’Appartamento takes place from 17 to 23 April 2023 at Via Cesare Correnti 14, 20123 Milan, Italy. See our Milan design week 2023 guide on Dezeen Events Guide for information about the many other exhibitions, installations and talks taking place throughout the week.

  • GOP Senators Shrug Off Megadonor Harlan Crow’s Nazi Memorabilia

GOP Senators Shrug Off Megadonor Harlan Crow’s Nazi Memorabilia

    [ad_1]

    • Texas billionaire Harlan Crow’s financial entanglements with Clarence Thomas were recently revealed.
    • The GOP megadonor also keeps Nazi artifacts at his Dallas home, where he’s hosted fundraisers.
    • Republicans who’ve been to Crow’s home defended him, arguing he’s not a supporter of Hitler.

Harlan Crow, the Texas billionaire whose secret lavish trips and property purchases from Supreme Court Associate Justice Clarence Thomas have drawn recent scrutiny from Democrats and ethics experts, also happens to maintain a collection of Nazi memorabilia at his home.

Given that Crow is a prolific megadonor to GOP campaigns and causes, several prominent GOP politicians have attended high-dollar fundraisers at his home over the years — and have seen his collection for themselves.

In interviews with Insider at the Capitol on Tuesday, several of them defended the Republican megadonor amid broad scrutiny of his taste in historical artifacts.

“He has an extensive historical museum that examines World War Two,” said Sen. Ted Cruz, who’s been to “multiple” fundraisers at Crow’s home. The Texas senator argued that the media is “deliberately” mischaracterizing the nature of Crow’s collection in order to tarnish Clarence’s reputation.

“I’m not gonna comment on his collection tastes,” said Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah, who attended a fundraiser at Crow’s home in 2012. “I don’t imagine, in any way, that Harlan Crow has any feelings of support for Hitler. That would be, in my opinion, absurd.”

“I’m not interested in talking to you,” said Sen. John Cornyn of Texas — whose campaign committees have received nearly $300,000 from Crow over the years — when asked about the collection.

Among the collection of historical artifacts at Crow’s expansive estate in the wealthy Dallas-area enclave of Highland Park, according to several reports, are a signed copy of Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf, a collection of Nazi linens and other artifacts, and two of Hitler’s original paintings from the one-time Chancellor’s time as a struggling artist.

His backyard includes a so-called “Garden of Evil,” including busts and statues of infamous dictators ranging from Joseph Stalin and Vladimir Lenin to Fidel Castro and Josip Tito.

“He collects memorabilia on fallen dictators as a reminder of how all these dictators ended up dead,” said Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, who attended a fundraiser at Crow’s house in 2015 and benefited from $350,000 in outside spending by Crow in support of his 2016 presidential campaign. “It’s a reminder that dictatorship doesn’t work.”

“He doesn’t have those statues because he supports Communists, any more than the World War Two memorabilia that he has is because he somehow supports Nazis,” said Cruz. “Rather, he is remembering and commemorating horrific periods in our nation’s history and evil regimes that perpetrated grotesque human rights abuses.”

The Texas senator, whose 2018 re-election effort benefited from $75,000 in outside political spending from Crow, said he hadn’t seen a signed copy of Mein Kampf or the original Hitler paintings.

“I have no idea; his library is an extensive museum,” said Cruz. “So I’ve seen — there are display cases all over the place of all sorts of things.”

‘He’s not a drug dealer or cocaine trafficker’

Crow also collects other historical artifacts, including thousands of documents, books, and historical artifacts pertaining to American history. Understandably, those collections haven’t raised nearly as many questions among the public.

The Texas billionaire recently defended his collecting habits in an interview with the Dallas Morning News, criticizing “yellow journalism” for insinuating that he “[likes] some of that stuff.”

“My mom was on a ship that was sunk by Germans during World War II,” said Crow. “If you try to kill my mom, I don’t like you. I mean, that’s reasonably obvious. And so the idea that I could have sympathy for Nazism is insane.”

Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah, who said on Monday that Crow’s financial entanglement with Thomas “stinks,” offered high praise for the Texas billionaire, who in 2012 donated $150,000 to a pro-Romney super PAC and held a fundraiser for Romney when he was the party’s 2012 presidential nominee.

“I think Harlan Crow’s a terrific person,” said Romney, who acknowledged that he had “walked through” the Texas billionaire’s home. “I respect him and appreciated his support, and believe his voice in conservative circles is welcome.”

Rubio argued that it’s “not true” that Crow has a collection of Nazi memorabilia, decrying a “society and political culture that angles anything they can.”

“Harlan Crow’s a patriotic guy,” said the Florida senator. “He’s not a drug dealer or cocaine trafficker; he’s a guy who’s made his money honestly in real estate and been a supporter of many great causes.”

Republican Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa, whose campaign has received $11,000 from Crow since 2014, said it’s “possible” that she’s been to Crow’s home but that she wasn’t sure.

But when asked about Crow’s Nazi memorabilia and dictator sculptures, Ernst said she had “no idea” about it.

“I would’ve most certainly remembered that,” she said.

The tightening effect is due to a combination of oils like coconut, shea butter, grape seed oil and PhytoCellTec™ Swiss Green Apple Stem Cell technology.

    The New Mom

As a new mom, it’s easy to neglect your self-care routine while focusing on your little one’s needs. It’s trendy to add bright colors to your hair. So why not let your pooch ride this beauty wave, too, with pet-safe dye? You can color-match with your dog for special occasions, seasonal fun and sporting events.

Can I use human hair dye on my dog? Is it pet safe?

Never use human hair dyes on your dog. Look for dyes manufactured specifically for pets for home use. These typically come in the form of color shampoos, blow pens (you physically blow the color onto your dog) and chalks.

“Most pet-safe dyes are known as depositing dyes,” explains Helen Schaefer, NCMG, CCE, style services specialist and master groomer for grooming specialists Heart + Paw. “They work by delivering a highly concentrated pigment into the hair shaft that clings to the outside of the cortex, under the cuticle. They are peroxide-free, and thus don’t cause damage as they work by ‘staining’ the hair. It’s like spilling red wine on a lighter fabric,” she adds.

How long a color lasts depends on the texture of the coat and the color used. And, there’s no way to predict the timeframe. They can last weeks. Naturally, pet-safe dyes work best on a white coat.

Do pet safe dyes work on dark fur?

“Because these dyes don’t cause chemical changes to the hair, they show up best on light curly/ coarse coats, and work better on coats that have less ‘shine’ to them,” explains Helen.

“For example, the color will hold better on a Bichon than a cream Labrador. Similarly, they will work better on a light-colored Goldendoodle than a smooth Jack Russell Terrier. They can work on darker coats too but in the sunlight will look like a ‘tinge of color,” she adds.

The best pet safe dye brands

When looking for a pet-safe dye, pick a product you can trust. Brands that master groomers give a paws up include:

    • Crazy Liberty has multiple color options of shampoos and gels to temporarily change your dog’s hair color and a line of “permanent” dyes that the company says lasts through more than 24 washes. They also sell an airbrush line and stencil set ($119.90) to spray specific sections or designs onto your dog’s fur. Check website for price ranges.
    • Dog product and grooming company Warren London, recently introduced a line called Warren London Canine Color that offers a selection of eight semi-permanent vibrant shades that gently fade with washes; $16.99 for each color. This is in addition to its Critter Color line of temporary pet fur color shampoos.
    • Davis Studio Color Blow Pens for Pet Hair Color has a 12 pack of bright pens for free hand designs or stencil use. These temporary colors come out with one wash; $20.95.

    How to use pet-safe dye

Groomer Helen Shaefer gives 5 tips on dying your pet’s hair at home.

    • Always wear gloves and use old towels
    • For blow pens, chalk and colored hairsprays, hold the hair you intend to color with one hand while applying the color from the can, blow pen or the chalk over the strands
    • Brush the color through with a small soft slicker brush and repeat as necessary to get the desired effect. Rub it in if you are using chalk.
    • To dye the top of a pet’s head without affecting the eyes and ears, squirt some color in the middle of where you want it and pull hair into the “color puddle” using a standard hair dye brush
    • Avoid getting too close to the eyes. For added safety, use a protecting eye lubricant, such as mineral oil-based one sold in pharmacies. Also avoid getting it into any mucus membrane areas, such as the nose and mouth. Be careful around genitals and paw pads too.

  • Brace for a Wave of Commercial Real-Estate Defaults

Brace for a Wave of Commercial Real-Estate Defaults

    [ad_1]

    • Billionaire investor Howard Marks sounded the alarm on the commercial real-estate sector.
    • The Oaktree Capital co-founder warned of mortgage defaults that could add stress to the US financial system.
    • “We’re very likely to see mortgage defaults in the headlines, and at a minimum, this may spook lenders,” Marks said.

Billionaire investor Howard Marks rang the alarm on commercial real estate in what he labels as “one of the biggest worries” US banks face today.

In a Monday memo, the Oaktree Capital Management co-founder warned of a wave of mortgage defaults that could add stress to the US banking sector.

“We’re very likely to see mortgage defaults in the headlines, and at a minimum, this may spook lenders, throw sand into the gears of the financing and refinancing processes, and further contribute to a sense of heightened risk,” Marks said.

“Developments along these lines certainly have the potential to add to whatever additional distress materializes in the months ahead,” he added.

The commercial real-estate market has become investors’ newest concern thanks to higher interest rates, tighter lending standards – part of the fallout from the turmoil that hit banks in March – and work-from-home trends. That’s a problem for smaller and mid-sized US banks which have high commercial property exposure.

High borrowing costs and tighter credit conditions caused by the banking jitters could raise hurdles for big property owners as they seek to refinance a pile of loans. Nearly $450 billion in commercial real-estate debt is due to mature in 2023 – meaning a final payment on those loans are due, per data cited from Trepp by JPMorgan.

“Higher interest rates call for higher demanded capitalization rates (the ratio of a property’s net operating income to its price), which will cause most real estate prices to fall,” Marks said. “The possibility of a recession bodes ill for rental rates and occupancy, and thus for landlords’ income,” he added.

Marks however stressed that he’s not sure if banks will suffer losses on their commercial property loans, or what the magnitude will be.

“Mortgage defaults generally don’t signal the end of the story, but rather the beginning of negotiations between lenders and landlords.  In many cases, the result is likely to be extension of the loan on restructured terms,” he said.

  • Symptoms and Prognosis – Dogster

    Symptoms and Prognosis – Dogster

    [ad_1]

Changes in your dog’s stool or frequent scooting may seem minor, but can be signs of a more serious problem. Around 16.5% of all malignant rectal tumors in dogs are anal gland cancer. Although no pet parent wants to consider her dog could have cancer, prompt veterinary care makes a big difference as smaller tumors can have better overall prognosis .

Dr. Jack O’Day, Veterinary Oncologist with VCA SouthPaws Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Center in Virginia, says that anal gland cancer is one of the most common tumors associated with the rectal/anal area in dogs. Although any dog is at risk, these dogs are at an increased risk:

Symptoms of anal gland cancer in dogs

As the anal gland tumor grows, it can cause changes in defecation or abnormal stools. Other symptoms to look for include scooting, when a dog drags his rear across the floor in a sitting position, or frequent licking in the rectal area.

“This cancer may also cause an increased level of blood calcium, so when this happens, dogs may exhibit increased drinking and urination,” Dr. O’ Day explains.

If your dog has any of these symptoms, book an appointment with your veterinarian for a physical exam. Dr. O’ Day says that the tumor is often discovered during a routine rectal exam or sometimes even during an anal sac expression by a primary care veterinarian or a dog groomer.

How do I know if my dog’s anal gland tumor is cancerous?

Your vet may do a fine needle aspiration procedure, where a small needle is inserted into the tumor to retrieve cells to determine if it’s cancerous.

Regarding the life expectancy of dog with rectal cancer — the size of the tumor has an impact on the dog’s overall chances for recovering, so early detection is important.

“One of the most significant prognostic factors is the tumor size,” Dr. O’Day says. “Dogs with small tumors that are removed surgically can have life expectancies measured in years, while dogs with tumors that have spread to other locations have a more guarded prognosis.”

Treatment for dogs with anal gland cancer

Surgery may be recommended to remove the entire anal gland, with injectable chemotherapy often given after surgery. If the tumors are not able to be surgically removed, Dr. O’Day says that oral forms of chemotherapy can be considered, or in some cases, radiation therapy may be advised.

Most dogs tolerate chemotherapy well, and a veterinary oncologist will provide guidance on the best treatment plan to keep your dog feeling good with the best chance to live comfortably while treating the cancer.

“Seeking the advice of a medical oncologist is recommended for dogs who have been diagnosed with anal gland cancer, as they will be able to offer you all of your pet’s treatment options and the steps moving forward,” Dr. O’Day says.

Many of the surfaces are covered in long rectangular tiles laid in a straight stack pattern

Elements derived from classical architecture were included, from fluted columns that support a wavy-topped table to arches that curve over shelving units and form punctured openings for showcasing small items.

Storage cabinets have rounded corners, as do the doors that front them, and many of the built-in elements also feature filleted edges.

Long rectangular tiles laid in straight stack patterns cover several of the walls and display stands.

Each tiled block or surface is a different colour, with large panels including terracotta, lilac and cream, and smaller sections in pale blue and green.

An area towards the back is decorated entirely in terracotta, which covers the floor and walls, as well as matching strips of fabric hung in rows from the ceiling.

There’s also a side room where Our Place products are laid out on a dining table with mirrors on three sides, creating infinite reflections intended to “welcome everyone to have a seat at the table”.
